翻譯原文：
中國市場經(jīng)濟的發(fā)展而迅速增長。因此，那些追求物質生活的人們只要有購買力，就不可避免地會購買奢侈品。一項報告顯示，中國的奢侈品消費總額占全球市場份額的四分之一，且位居世界第二，僅次于日本。然而，從消費觀念方面來講，很多中國的消費者還處在“炫耀性消費”的階段，這是一種不健康的狀態(tài)。奢侈品不應該是炫耀的手段，或者是與權力、財富和社會關系相關的標志。

As China has achieved new heights in its economy and recently entered an era of mass consumption, the purchasing power of Chinese people is rising along with the development of market economy. Therefore, it is inevitable that people who pursue material life buy luxuries as long as they can afford. According to a report, the total consumption of luxuries in China accounted for a quarter of the global market share and ranked second in the world after Japan. However, in regard to consumption concept, a large number of Chinese consumers are still in the stage of “conspicuous consumption”, which is unhealthy. Luxuries should not be the tools of showing off or signs associated with power, wealth and social ties.

1) 分句法
把原文中一個單詞或短語譯成句子，使原文的一個句子分譯成兩個或兩個以上的句子�；蚋纱喟言牡囊粋�句子拆開，譯成兩個或兩個以上的句子。

譯文: 我頭三年寫了四本書，打破了以往的記錄。(名詞短語拆開)
2)合句法
把原文中兩個或以上的簡單句，主從復合句或并列復合句等譯成一個單句。
例5 她已試了好幾次，要幫他們另找一所出租的房子，結果并未成功。
譯文:She had made several attempts to help them find other rental quarters without success.(多個簡單句合成一個單句)
例6 他們有遵守交通規(guī)則，機器出了故障。
譯文：His failure to observe the safety regulations resulted in an accident to the machinery.(并列復合句合成一個單句)
例7 When we praise the Chinese leadership and the people, we are not merely being polite.
譯文：我們對中國領導人和中國人民的贊揚不僅僅是出于禮貌。(主從復合句合成一個單句)

1、 By taking exercises
解析：通過鍛煉，我們可以保持健康。其實這題答案不止一個。“鍛煉”可以用名詞也可以用動詞短語�！巴ㄟ^”可以用by表示方式，through表示途徑。 By taking exercises /Through exercises。往往by用于“by + doing”，而through后接名詞哦。
2、 listening to music enables us to feel relaxed
解析：“聽音樂”在句中作主語，“聽”應當處理成動名詞形式�！澳苁刮覀兎潘伞焙芏嗤瑢W會采用 can make us feel relaxed的結構。其實，enable就有“能夠使某人……”的含義，注意enable sb. to do 的表達。
3、 On no account can we
解析：本題是強調語氣，強調“決不能”，所以聯(lián)想到on no account ,by no means,at no time,in no case等。不管用哪一個，都要注意它們是含有否定的意味的，因此在置于句首時應使用倒裝語序。
4、fake and inferior commodities
解析：“假冒偽劣商品”包含兩層含義：一是假貨，二是次品，在翻譯成英文的時候應該注意兩層含義的正確譯法�！凹倜啊辈荒苡胒alse而應選擇fake，“次品”可以說inferior表示質量差，也可以用commodity of low quality。
5、draw useful lessons from it
解析：句意為：面對失敗，有的人能夠頑強抵抗，從中吸取教訓，努力實現(xiàn)他們的目標。本句由三個并列的謂語成分構成，謂語動詞分別是stand up to“汲取”和try。“汲取教訓”正確表達為draw a lesson from。然而我們又能從全句判斷，從失敗中吸取教訓是為了將來能夠更好地實現(xiàn)目標，因此加上修飾語useful，使內(nèi)容更明確。
