英語六級寫作：替換掉那些老掉牙詞匯
不管是英文還是漢語，最常用的基礎(chǔ)用詞都是翻來覆去的那些。漢語里修飾形容用的千篇一律會被嘲笑詞匯貧乏，英語考試中自然會有一樣的通病。當(dāng)你和眾人一樣翻來覆去只會使用那么幾個(gè)基礎(chǔ)詞匯的時(shí)候，英語六級閱卷老師也會因?yàn)橛迷~的大同小異而感到審美疲勞，這種時(shí)候還如何脫穎而出得高分呢?所以，拋棄那些千篇一律的用法，嘗試用這些新詞匯來替代吧!
1. 支持(support)
advocate
We advocate solving international dispute by negotiation, instead of appealing to arms。
我們主張通過協(xié)商解決國際爭端，而不主張?jiān)V諸武力。
argue for
Do directors see new risks that argue for a different approach?
董事們有沒有看到可能支持不同做法的新風(fēng)險(xiǎn)?
in favour of
The majority voted in favor of the proposal。
多數(shù)人投票贊成這項(xiàng)提案。
2. 反對(object)
argue against
Three considerations argue against increasing fee。
三種理由反對增加費(fèi)用。
be opposed to
Mr Clarke has shown himself to be resolutely opposed to compromise。

frown on
He would frown on such aproposal。

numerous

commonplace

universal

pervasive
It is the most pervasive compound on earth。

6. 唯一的(only)
solely
Success should not be measured solely by educational achievement。
成功與否不應(yīng)只用學(xué)業(yè)成績來衡量。
unique
The examples are unique to this dictionary。
這些例證是這部詞典獨(dú)有的。
merely
You are merely reciting facts that you have learned by rote。
你只是在背誦自己死記硬背下來的東西。
7、許多 (many)
numerous
Scientific development meant the growth of numerous professions ancillary to medicine.
科技發(fā)展意味著許多醫(yī)學(xué)衍生職業(yè)的增長。

commonplace

universal
